In the details: Ysabelle's 7th Birthday Party

Celebrant: Naomi Ysabelle R. Sambilay
Date: March 24,2013
Time: 4:00PM
Party Planner: Me

Two weeks ago, my daughter Naomi Ysabelle celebrated her 7th birthday. And thank God, it was a successful one. It took me four months in planning the event.

Last December 2012, Ysabelle asked for a Princess Birthday party. And so I began searching thru the internet some party ideas. I thought of Hollywood Disney Princesses as the theme. I was so excited then. In January of this year, I presented to Ysabelle my ideas. But to my surprise, she told me that she had changed her mind. She said, " Sorry Mommy gusto ko pala ng Barbie Princess & the Popstar." I just said okay. I can't do anything. She is the celebrant and I want her to be happy.

Theme: Barbie Princess & The Popstar

Venue: Casa Camba,New Manila, Quezon City

Our first choice for the venue was Philam Clubhouse in Quezon City since it's near our place. But, when we were about to give our down payment on the first week of January 2013, the coordinator told us that Philam will be renovated on March. And so I looked for another place. I saw Casa Camba. We met,Neneng, the secretary. I love her. She is kind and accommodating. She gave us free choco fountain, free sound system, no electrical/corkage charge. All of these were not included in our package.

After we made our reservation, I searched through the internet events at Casa Camba to have some ideas. I have read a lot of negative feedback about their services. Of course, I immediately called the attention of Ms. Neneng, the secretary. She guaranteed us that everything written about them was not true. And I proved, she was right. I love the food, setup, chairs & tables, utensils, and

Apple Punsalan was introduced to me by an ABS-CBN colleague, Christine Estabilo.  In January 17, 2013, we had our brainstorming/meeting at ELJ Starbucks. And here's the package she offered to me:

*styro backdrop & entrance styro
*200 ceiling balloons (combi of drops, round clusters, links w/ star mylars/guitar) -
*entrance arch
*free balloon burst

Aside from these, I also included to my package food carts and kiddie salon.

Ice cream cart was sponsored by my Dad Bert & Mommy Wilma Reyes as their gift for Ysabelle.

Magician Host:  Ale Lagula

Apple Punsalan of Yanple was the one who recommended to us Mr. Alex Lagula. He is good and funny :-)

Host number 2:  Nicole Mangussad

Nicole is my former OJT in SOCO. And I got to know more about her whe she was hired in ABS-CBN and became our officemate last year. Thank you very much Nicole for sharing to us your talent.

Invitation/Thank you tags/Stickers

I want Ysabelle's invitation to be different from the usual. My original plan was a 3d invite, but it was expensive. For me, it's not practical to spend too much on this.
The idea came when I saw Ysabelle's Barbie magazines. And I thought it's cute. I admit, I'm not good in photoshop. And so, I asked the help of my friend Esha Santos. I gave her my instructions, and she did great!
I met her thru Multiply.com in 2008. She makes Multiply Site Makeover, Tarpaulin Design, Invitation,Photocake Layout and a lot more. You can check her at kopikreim@facebook.com

I bought the pink envelope at National Bookstore.

stuffs inside the invitation ( We were registered at Toys r Us)

Sign Book:

This is DIY. Since I love doing scrapbook, I thought of this to be different from the usual sign book/wishboard. It's more personalized. I bought the materials at National Bookstore. The cut outs were from Ysabelle's old books/magazines.

Giveaways:

I love doing this.  Alam nyo ba, from our wedding, to Ysabelle's baptism and birthdays, ako talaga ang gumagawa ng giveways??? Since it's a Princess Party, I thought of a tutu bag for the girls and blue bags with guitar accessories. I got the idea thru internet. Aren't they cute?

The peg:
pic from the interent

The actual scene:

I bought the reusable bags and guitar accessories in Divisoria. The tulle, ribbons, and buttons were bought at SM Department Store, (Alterations, 3rd floor) I know how to sew but I don't have a sewing machine. I asked our neighbor whom we called "Nanay" to do it for me. She made 40 pieces of tutu bags.  Our housemaid,Inday was the one who put the buttons on the ribbon. We put kikay stuff and Barbie items inside.

For the boys, we made 40 pieces of lootbags. We put Ben 10 items inside.

LootBag stuff/Prizes

I bought the items from Divisoria, National Bookstore, and Toy Kingdom in SM.

This is the prize for the Ms. Fashionista ( a Barbie doll and magazine)

I also bought the fashion earrings in Divisoria. All the girls were wearing these cute stuffs.

Gowns By Dang Iglesia (gift from Ate May Bell Manuel)
 Accessories from: PINK BOX
Shoes: Barbie

 Photographer/Videographer
Benj & Michelle of Shutter Count Photography

When Ysabelle celebrated her 5th birthday in 2010, Gilbert and I took photos for the event. Sobrang nakaka-stress pala pag ikaw yung may event tapos ikaw pa yung nagpi-picture though I have my photography friends who also too pictures.

Because of that experience, we decide to get an official photographer. Shutter Count.
I have read good comments about them from moms like me in the internet. I saw their shots and I was impressed. The package I got from them was one photographer and 1 videographer, but during the party, they gave me a backup videographer for FREE!!! How lucky we are!

Photobooth:
WackyTime Photobooth(chroma-key photobooth)

Raswin, the owner of WackyTime Photobooth, is Gilbert's officemate and friend. We booked him last JAnuary. I gave him the layout/color scheme, theme, details that I want. He was able to meet my expectations.

I wanted that the layout should look like a Barbie doll box.

Raswin's layout (very,very nice)

 7 Flowers/Bouquet/Candles

Early morning of March 24, Gilbert and I went to Dangwa to buy flowers for Ysabelle's 7 dance. We met this girl, I can't remember her name. Ang galing niya, super at ang mura pa!

Gilbert's effort-candle with ribbons ( I don't know how to make ribbons hahahah)

I am so thankful to Ms. Pinky of Fernando's Bakeshop.Super yummy cakes! And super big discount!:-)

Barbie cake: MAry Asuncion Merced from Pastry Arts
gift from Ninang Apple Diguangco

Mary Asuncion is our neighbor. Super yummy din ang cakes niya. I want the cake to look like Ysabelle's gown and so I sent her  the picture. Nakakaiyak, ang ganda! I am also thankful to my kumare friend Apple Diguangco. This is her gift for Ysabelle.

Lechon

gift from my inlaws, Kuya Frankie, Ate Jeng,Rafael, Ereen, & Tintin Resurrecion

Entrance Decor

I put Ysabelle's Barbie dolls at the entrance gate as decor.Gusto ko kasi ma-feel ng mga bata na sa entrance pa lang, feel na nila na Barbie Party .

I bought these BArbie id tags at National bookstore.

Candy Buffet:

It's also a DIY except for the picture layout. It was made by Esha Santos. I am also thankful to my in-laws Kuya Bong, Ate Yeye, Maica, Marielle Fabian from Doha, Qatar. We received these imported chocolates on the first week of March.
I added some candies and chocolates which I bought at SM hypermart.

THE PROGRAMME
